Calibre-Web + auto-synced Kindles — Self-hosted ebook management with automatic Kindle sync for the household. I have a calibre app on my macbook, but I want to bring this to my homelab server and expand capability. also i have a kindle colorsoft so I want the jailbreak to come back like my paperwhite.
Close-pass detection pipeline — Computer vision pipeline to detect and clip dangerous driving incidents from cycling footage. Idea is to use video and radar info from Varia + front video from the GoPro, some form of scripted sync, YOLOv8 object detection. Also would need to think through how it actually measures distance from the side, is the radar FOV big enough? also some form of trigger times. either automated in post or some kind of button on the bike. and the user needs to be able to review footage before clipping.
Autonomous drone — Now this is a fun one I want to work towards. an autonomous drone that is able to identify and object, create a bounding box and execute a series of filming manouvers. It would need GPS waypoint navigation and ardupilot, some form of onboard AI object detection, gimbal tracking for automated video capture.
Book discovery pipeline — This one might be next. Multi-agent discovery pipeline to surface high-prestige upcoming literary releases from critical reviews. Comparative to my previous reads and interests. Uses RSS feeds and maybe web scraping → AI filtering → Hugo publication.
